Sam the Builder (Can he fix it? Yes, he can!)

As it turned out the Halloween parade was the perfect amount of festivity for us. Sam had fun playing with his friends in his lame costume. He actually did keep the belt on the whole time, but I would still say he was the least costumed of all the kids. He had fun carrying his bucket around and pulling out all of the snacks that people kept putting in it. Then he would transfer them to his hat that wouldn't stay on, and eventually back to his bucket, but not before mushing them to a pulp. Please note the very sad NutriGrain bar in this first photo.

Want to know how many kids came to our apartment trick or treating? Two. How many bags of candy did we buy? Three. I think we have about 8 pounds of candy in our home now.

He made a very cute construction worker I say! We didn't get many kids to my place either. I'm sure that the snow and slippery sidewalks and the fact that it was cold had something to do with it.

I'm glad he had fun :)

Woo! At least you do not now have TWICE the amount of candy that you started with... there is that silver lining.

I think he looks darling! But then that kinda a no-brainer huh?

I think he looks great. But I can't believe how few trick-or-treaters you had!

I happen to love his costume, I think it looks perfect! Yay for left over candy. Don't feel guilty. Just eat the chocolate. I am!

Very cute pictures! Too bad you didn't get more trick-or-treaters. I always like seeing the kids come to my door. I think we had 40 to 50 kids.

Just like Mama D, I love the leftover chocolate too!

i give out way too much candy per kid just so i don't have ANY left. in fact we turn kids away and that's fine with me! cannot handle the temptation.

Where did he get a Nutrigrain bar for Halloween??? No wonder it's sad, it's not chocolate.

My 3-year old loves to play Handy Manny. I play along with him by “calling” him. He answers his imaginary phone with, “Hello, this is Handy Manny. I break it, you fix it. How may I help you?”

Aw, he's a cute construction worker. Much cuter than that guy from the Village People. :)

Bob is never lame, and Sam looks so cute! I am suffering from candy overload here. Jack got to have any three pieces he wanted and I got to eat roughly 127 pieces, that's fair, right?

I love Bob! Ian was Bob too, same belt, but had to use a different hat since Bob's wouldn't stay on.

What to do with all that candy? We're in the same boat. I can't go and throw it away, that would be like throwing away money, right? But then I may have to spend even more money attending some weight loss clinic. What to do?

He's a doll baby--I think the simpler the better on the costumes, especially for kids who are a that age where holidays are still just a freaky deviation from their little routine worlds.
Where DO all the trick or treaters go? We got 5 kids and three whole bags of candy too. Fortunately this year I wised up and bought mostly non-chocolate. That way I'm not tempted but my husband loved that stuff. Good luck unloading it!

I don't think his costume is lame, I think he's precious!
If anything is lame, it's a NutriGrain bar for Halloween. :)

Who was the party pooper who gave out nutrigrain bars?

He's a totally cute Bob!!
